350s, 330neo, 787s all arriving next year. Even with common ratings, headcount must be going up overall. Maybe expansion will be back on the cards as the industry rebound continues?
The interesting thing is there is very little to no room to expand now. Even with 380s still parked up gathering dust in DWC, I have heard of colleagues having to wait after landing at DXB, due to the stand being occupied. There is no more real estate at DXB to build parking stands, unless the Air Wing hangar gets demolished and there is more chance of seeing TC welcoming crew back in arrivals after a night flight.
Unless capital is spent and DWC is developed, expansion will be very limited, apart from the 777-300 freighter fleet, which will more than likely be based at DWC.
