Apparently the land owners Peel lease from for the approach lights and nav aids have been notified via solicitors that the equipment will be removed. I expect this has all been sold already. This is part of Nick Fletcher update, along with the usual gaslighting and finger pointing.
lights etc are not that expensive.
leases would have to be agreed if they break these, but that’s not a massive issue if there is willing parties.
