I'm currently holding an EASA PPL and will soon be getting a UK CAA PPL issued as I had previously transferred it out.
I have no additional ratings, except for the fact that I have just finished the EASA ATPL exams. I'm highly considering doing the CAA ATPL exams while the knowledge is still fresh. Then I can decide between finishing the MEIR and CPL in the UK or Europe.
I am an EU citizen holding the right to live in the UK and am at a crossroads. Do the CAA exams and finish off my ATPL in the UK and look at joining something like TUI or Easyjet? Or finish off flight training here in Europe? I was considering Ryan Air, but don't want to pay €30,000 for the type rating. If there's an agreement to validate EU licenses, how long do you expect it to take?
