What maintenance? Most of it has gone, which is a real shame, as they were well paid jobs. Now it is a case of working in a burger bar or equivalent, as a career choice for an expanded airport.
Oh dear, TUI & Easyjet engineering guys will be happy with that. I'm afraid it costs alot less to fly to Eastern Europe or Far East and get heavy maintenance done there now or sub out to specialists at Lasham.
