Losing a wing in a beat up is not that unusual, there is video of a Mosquito losing its wing doing the same, don't know where I saw it decades ago and repeated searches of the net over the years can't find it. Note my post says Cinesound film unit (Fox Movietone) filmed the Hudson crash and the wing went to CSIR for inspection, the film above was produced by C.S.I.R.’s Division of Aeronautics.
