Airlines usually have their FDAP limits set to take corrective/preventive action depending on which limit is breached. Even if the Red/High Limit is breached, it wouldn't imply a "hard landing" as that has other connotations. It's just a company's internal guideline/policy for how they want to track & police the occurrences on their aircraft.
To answer the question though-- the airlines I've worked for have had that FDAP limit anywhere between 1.75g to 2.1g.
