Murmansk is a FOB, they deploy there before doing sorties to the USA, North Atlantic, UK etc.
I would expect they would disperse their remaining aircraft to FOBs, bu5 at a heavy cost in operational capability due to th3 logistics of transferring crews and weapons, briefings etc.
Not surprised bot( TU-95 bases were hit at the same time, if you ar3 going to reveal you4 hand before showing you could attack at that range, best you hit both so they don’t have a chance to disperse the assets at the other.
Hitting the TU-95s and not the TU-160s looks like a political decision to leave their prime Nuke triad fleet alone.
