I thought I would share this photo with you all. I took this a couple of days ago and shows a station that is bigger than many U.K. airport terminals.
Out of sight is the building site but at least the building is all but finished.
As a side note I haven’t spotted a ticket office for rail passengers arriving from Kimpton Road.
Notice the signage appears somewhat below par.
On this side of the building, the illuminated sign Par of Parkway is dim. A similar sign on the opposite side of the building which greets those arriving by train from London, the Park of Parkway is in darkness. It hasn't even opened and the illuminations are failing. Not a problem for the King, as I can't imagine he will be arriving on Thameslink. A helicopter and Jaguar motorcade is more likely than arriving on an electrified railway with green credentials.
