I have a friend with a full size 737 simulator in his garage. He uses P3DV5 and the Prosim sim software for the 737.
I figure if anyone would know what's the best software it would be him.
I haven't seen the Prosim in a desktop monitor configuration but I imagine that every switch and function in his sim is replicated in the virtual cockpit of the desktop version.
