Current state of implemented AI is pretty good but far from reliable enough for situations where there is risk of large scale loss of life. In medicine a failure usually inolves a single fatality iany seriopus event, so risk of using it for diagnosis is very different and failure rate vs human judgement is probably better and more acceptable? Current status perhaps illustrated by this story ....
