Instant nostalgia !
K'sar in the 50s and the last of the Lancs was scrapped locally, when the Lincolns, then the Shacks took over. We needed a local CW radio setup for short range comms so the 54/55 were stripped out. Inside a Lanc with OAT at well over 100 was ... interesting !!

Quite exceptional engineering skills which ought to be treasured but will never (in this country) be accorded the esteem reserved for unmade beds !
