I thought this too until recently, but it turns out it isn't actually true. (

The black SS uniform was
designed by SS members Karl Diebitsch (artist) and Walter Heck (graphic designer)
. The Hugo Boss company was one of many that made them, certainly - but he wasn't the designer.
Not that it matters, really!
