Melnish...Habibi,

I agree with you that AAB has an incredibly strong drive and that he gets lots of parts of the job done. No doubts he is a gifted manager but.............

He has absolutely no idea what the most valuable in his company is....being the personell! He has no idea how to treat people...

QR is being run on fear and that is very dangerous, certainly in an airline!

Listening to people, establishing a communication strategy towards the workforce ....all very small things that could change the whole atmosphere within QR

Apparently you have no idea how low the morale is amongst the flight crews! It is sub sub zero....

And why, because nobody has any idea what is going on.

A salary increase has been promised for two years now. So far nothing has been seen.

Now the latest rumour is that there will be an increase next month. But what will it be...15%, 20% maybe????

That really is not going to change the attitude of people. That is merely enough to cover the inflation rate in Qatar these days.

To become competeitve QR needs to be on the same level as EK or etihad for example. Exactly the same level. Then we can talk. And this goes for all levels of personell. From the office boys to the higher up managers.

Once that problem has been siolved we can stat talking about the rest. How are people being treated? What little things can the company do to improve morale?

I will tell you something.....bringing in contract pilots at 4000USD is not, NOT, the way to do it! At least not without informing the own workforce first!
Hiring only chinese and Koreans in the cabin is NOT the way to do it.
Making the 12H duty day the standard rostered day is NOT the way to do it!
Putting a cerfew on the CCM accomodations is NOT the way to do it!
Having an indian maffia running sheduling department is NOT the way to do it!

Very little changes could mean the world to the hard working people of QR.

QR is at a critical phase right now....growing too fast, people unhappy, several departments are unable to cope, low quality of pilots and CCM being hired due to critical shortage etc....

And everybody knowing the business knows where this all leads to....right! The inevitable.......and that would mean the end!

It is not too late and we can see allready some positive signs that managment is finally recognising the problems. Little changes are being made....lets hope the big ones will follow as well.

QR has great product and has all the potential to become a major airline....I hope the people with the power will not ruin this opportunity.

Your remark about liking or quitting.....BS!

Take care
