I recently sat the exam and the best advice I can give you is to do lots of practice exams. You can use all the documents as indicated on the CASA website during the exam, you only need to know where to look for the answers. The majority of answers were in the CAR, CASR, MOS and AIP. I didn’t need any of the DAPs or charts, but there were some questions on operational meteorology, like decoding TAFs and meteorological charts.
The more practice exams you do, the faster you’ll know where to look for the answers. But make sure you use ‘current’ versions (post December 21) or you’re gonna have a hard time finding the right answers. Hope this helps.
