There’s a vast difference between the two assessments. One just wants your money, the other looks upon you as a prospective employee. Humility and self awareness goes along way with the latter. They’re not looking for astronauts. If you come across as though the sun shines out of your arse you’ll be out the door before you know it.
I have a 100% track record based on interview feedback (for real work, not ATPL programmes) of not being confident enough in myself - I articulate myself very differently in person - so I wouldn't worry about that. I'm fairly certain my chances of getting a spot are next to zero given I would take people with 10 more years of experience in the world over me if I were at BA but hey, if you don't try you don't get.
