Students are always going to give undercarriages a hard time,
I have to respectfully disagree, but maybe I do agree if you are talking about the average flying training school. If the students are taught correctly then there will not be a problem. I was once helping out at a civilian flying club which operated from a military flying school base. One of the PPL instructors at this mythical club where most pilots had a lot of trouble with landings once asked me if the military trainers were easy fly because the military training aircraft always landed in the same place, even when solo students were flying them!

As was mentioned above, when the instructors themselves have only recently completed their PPL and CPL then an awful lot is often missed in the teaching.
