Per the referendum in the Ukraine whether to join Russia, it just occurred to me that the logic behind this means that Alaska, which was bought by the US in an imperialist purchase from Russia for $7.2 million back in the day, should also have a vote as to returning to the Russian motherland. Now, the Paiutes, Cherokees, and other groups might want a referendum for their people. The Sioux arguably were militarily defeated, but golly, the agreements signed by the govt were soft, and absorbent which may have led to their application. Let's not even talk about England... France, Belgium, etc... enough embarrassment to share all round.
