I once had an army officer who hadn’t reached the agreed pickup point. His idea of guiding us in on the radio was to keep repeating “You’re in my 12 o’clock…….you’re still in my 12 o’clock…”
Yes, bearing in mind he was facing us, we would be.
Thankfully a responsible adult (presumably an NCO) took over and gave us directions according to the aircraft’s clock code, rather than his 12.
