After her command on Dan-Air's 748s she went on to command their BAC 1-11s in June 1975. I know because she taught me to fly in 1959 and I remained in touch with her until shortly before her death.
My dad was promoted & we moved to Glasgow in ‘73.
I was at school 6 miles from LBA & flew home on Dan-air’s HS748s ( & a ‘111 once when the ‘748 went ‘tech! )
Thanks for these posts all, I now know the name of the lady who flew me to Glasgow a couple of times.
As a child who had always loved things that fly & as a ‘regular’ who was known to most of the crews , I always visited the flight deck.
It was 50 years ago but I still remember how lovely she was , she made a great impression on a 12 year old.
I continue to think the ‘748 was a great piece of kit!
