And for the Rockwell promo film, the FAA did grant him a waiver to permit him to fly the aerobatics legally. They would have had to demonstrate the aircraft was up to it. And they didn't fly over any populated areas as far as I could tell from the recording.
having flown one of the aircraft in which he did his aerobatics, it wasn’t what he did to it. It was what the wannabes probably did to it on the line when noone was watching that worried me more.
