Your verb is wrong. His idea was to rearm the nazis and
joinlead them in the fight (as allies to our soldiers) against the commies. He was never going to join the Nazis. And as I noted above, his chain of command was uninterested in the war being recommenced. I suspect that Churchill may have sympathized with the feeling, but Great Britain was spent and I don't think he'd have advised taking that course of action.
