I say ‘approved’ as the actual cited document is vague and states further discussion required to establish cost and passenger forecasting. This hasn’t stopped a certain local MP from taking part in a bit of rooftop shouting.
I do wonder whether there has been any approach to appoint an independent consultancy to make an unbiased appraisal of the site as an airport by the local politicians and Mayoral authority. Appreciate these things take time, but surely with the sheer costs in public finding we may be talking about here, due diligence should be applied?
Wont connect to the ECML, it will be done from the Lincoln line.. ECML connection was £200m - Lincoln Line £30m..
Cannot see it happening as PEEL are continuing ram it into the ground on a daily basis with their own agenda for warehousing.
