I ask because G-AGXN was, for many years when I was a kid , happily trundling around MAN doing pleasure flights.
You surmise correctly - all but one of the G-AGX_ series were allocated to Austers (assorted Alphas and Autocrats), and they were registered in serial number order.

Annoyingly, Geoffrey Wikner got in first with Waltzing Matilda, a war-surplus Halifax that he bought, converted as G-AGXA, and flew (with pax) to his native Australia in 1946.
