The coastal environments SPY has been in for so long has probably given it the Big C. Could be saved ..but ..buckets of money required. At least the Beck Collection Dak has been in drier climes at YMBA. Now with FNQAM for l o n g term static resto.
Looked at the C47 ex Becks at the FNQAM at YMBA as well. It looks in a lot better condition than SPY as far as the corrosion . As you say the drier climate up there certainly has preserved the aircraft better.
