I assume they have a fixed number of slot pairs for S22. Perhaps today they didn't want to waste one when Inbound pax on the SEN flight so low.
Might be down to excessive fees. Blue Air would have been subject to maximum charges at Luton for this flight while Southend would have been much cheaper. When the seat price was only £12.53 inbound the name of the game is minimising losses.
