The rest of Europe has fairly graphic evidence as to the merit of any word or treaty with the Russians, so having preparation is not a bad idea at all. The UF are also providing quite detailed knowledge of the RuF "strengths" and "weaknesses", which is invaluable insight; the analysts will be busy for some time amending their manuals.

The Russian disinterst in international norms or honour was highlighted in the recent much touted agreement on grain, which Russia honored for almost 24 hours before showing it's true intent to deceive.

Ukraine has given a lot of pointers on force multipliers, and perhaps they will develop a new cottage industry for export to other countries. (Lord knows it would be hard for them to build anything worse than Russia's "frontline" weapon systems). Russia may consider using box cutters for their intended purpose other than war crimes, but that would go against over a thousand years of disregard.

Google

Russian War crimes: About 118,000,000 results (0.52 seconds)
Russian acts of valor: About 6,710,000 results (0.53 seconds)
Russian Adherence to Geneva Convention: About 1,220,000 results (0.56 seconds)
Russian Breach of International Law: About 13,900,000 results (0.41 seconds)
Russian violation of international law: About 28,800,000 results (0.54 seconds)
Russia fails to keep its promise: About 64,700,000 results (0.49 seconds)

There have been some great Russians, but those with any moral fortitude seem to be absent from the halls of power, and the general public seem to be quite fine with that.
