My ex-MiL spent 2 years in a Soviet Gulag after her and her family were loaded onto cattle trucks in Lviv in late 1939......
Not all her family made it to the Gulag......she tearfully recorded her experiences onto tape about 30 years ago, for posterity and for future generation of Poles. It wasn't nice to listen to.
Glad she didn't live to see what is happening out there all over again. She detested the Russians.
