Reading that Flying magazine article, I suspect someone is taking the P*ss out of the readers.
"........the two electric motors will receive supplemental power from solar skin panels and wind turbines." One assumes they must be ultra low drag wind turbines?
"Another source of inspiration for Cloughley was the De Havilland Dragon Rapide." How? By having a couple of 200 HP
de Havilland Gipsy 6-cylinder inverted piston engines as auxiliaries, or by installing light weight wicker seats?
"Faradair hopes to raise £20,000 through a Kickstarter campaign by December 25. So far, 19 backers have contributed £1,408." Twenty thousand Quid capitalisation? I doubt that would top up the petty cash tin and is probably a few hundred million Quid short of the equity required to develop a new technology aircraft.
Flying magazine should have published the article in their 1 April edition!
