While we all support aviation we and particularly Luton Rising need to accept that the near doubling of flights out of the airport will have an adverse affect on climate change no matter how they try to spin it. Setting binding limits that allows for massive growth is no better than setting no limits. We have to remember that there are binding limits on aircraft noise at the moment that the airport didn’t meet. Their solution was to put in a planning application to raise those limits.
Also net zero only applies to the airport and not the aircraft using Luton.
