Lt Page is still living in cloud cuckoo land, I see. Good fodder, not to mention clickbait, for the opinionated ignorant and tinfoil hat brigade but, using realistic figures, there's no way we could have afforded cats & traps AND two carriers. The nuclear option would be prohibitively expensive, too. As for the F/A-18E/F (vice the F-35B) being effective against Gen 5 opposition, forget it.
