I agree TUI are not traditionally the sort of operator that would want to continue selling package holidays that may not be able to go ahead (I know Covid has tested that legacy somewhat). Even if the airport could be saved, TUI will not want the uncertainty of closure hanging over them and potentially hurting forward bookings, or having to re-accommodate. I wouldn't be surprised to see a public announcement from TUI of a withdrawal of flights even before any closure is confirmed, but best of luck to all concerned.
