It doesn’t help that enhanced payments for evenings / nights / weekends / bank holidays don’t exist anymore. Bad enough doing a night shift but with no extra money many people won’t do it.
When I worked for Court Line in 1970 and Luton Corporation in 1971/2 there were no such enhanced payments.
