I bought my first pair of RM boots in 2008 for $330.
Struth!! Back in my days working on a Seismic Survey crew the boots worn by most on the crew were
Redwings. The longer type, Calf length I think they were called, and in 1982 I paid just over $300 for mine. They lasted until about mid '88 before one of the heels wore out!
Had it 'reheeled' but it was never the same. Still have them though...
But for what it's worth; I do have two RM Williams belts. However, they were classed as 'seconds' (no idea why as they looked ok when I bought them) and therefore less than half normal retail price. Which was roughly the same price as a 'generic' belt of the same style.
