In a nutshell, various war reporters say that Kyiv manipulates the media via laminated Press passes without which reporters cannot operate; a Dutch reporter was expelled from Ukraine for live streaming a Russian strike on Odessa; when a later missile strike on Kyiv was filmed by a score of international TV crews the censors moved in so that this hit in the heart of the capital had never been mentioned.
Ukraine justifiably fears giving away its secrets, but "reporters need to do their work to keep its perilous position in the forefront of the world's mind".
