The problem facing Ukraine is as they run out of Soviet munitions and become more reliant on Western technology, they need supplies to keep that technology fed and if we do not replenish those stocks for both Ukraine and ourselves we are all firked. That is probably one reason why the West is drip feeding Ukraine, where what was actually needed was a large input to kill the invasion in its tracks..
