Thanks, must admit that I dint think about the de identifying. Reference slobs who you would trust, as I say, how you look does not effect how you fly, but as we agree, public perception, what THEY see as a professional, and who THEY choose to spend their money with - well snappily dressed crew will win it in the public's eyes. And that's why company contracts that we all sign have grooming standards in there - so as we project an image of competence. And of course there are well dressed F/Os who cant fly a stick up a dog's arse - but at least to the public he looks like he can. When we get to the stage where pilots can dress exactly how they want because Das Uber and co say its not relevant to how safe the machine is kept..... well, its all over..
