Hey Rodney, you shouldn’t assume. The FO you mention may have jumped straight off that aircraft after one sector and let’s not forget that FO’s are always keen for the obvious reason. The other guy may have just been paxing home after 4 sectors and 12 hours. We can position in J if available, but we are required to de-identify ourselves at the direction of our fearless leaders. I know a few ‘slobs’ as you call them who are genuine ‘stick and rudder’ pilots who I would entrust my family to. I also know a few very well dressed FO’s who I wouldn’t trust to put my garbage out on Monday night………I agree though, it is all about public perception, that’s a phrase I keep banging on about, perhaps we’ve had this discussion in the past………
