You don't want to spend one second looking over your shoulder to see if they will find out; computer government records are ubiquitous so you never know how interrelated they are. 25 years ago is a long time and I'd guess it's easy to come up with a plausible explanation that you're no longer the knuckle-headed kid who made that mistake. Maybe an interview prep/app review company could advise you ?
