Re 'Davef68'' comment - was it ever resolved whether a Javelin shot down an Indonesian C130 (flown by Dr Subandrio's son) into the Straits of Malacca or whether the aircraft was flown into the sea during the chase.? The aircraft was one of three dropping parachutists at Labis (central west Malaysia) at night and it was returning after completing the drop.
Certainly in Borneo an Indonesian C130 crashed at Long Bawan (south of Bakalalan) whilst being chased until it crossed over the border. At the time, it was said that the crew and those pax who were in the aircraft survived but several Indonesians who jumped out did not.
