The most promising career path for young (and old) Aus pilots now is to hit 1500hrs as fast as possible and go to US, and as a result the larger academies are facing a shortage of G1, IFR and multi instructors. Unfortunately like 200hr CPLs there will always be an abundance of fresh G3s.
