I believe the Thunderscreech needed to be several miles distant to be bearable, was there not a story about severe injury or even death for a one poor Air Force guy who copped an earful closeup?
Loudest aircraft I can recall hearing is probably the AN-22... or maybe the Space Shuttle setting sail from Cape Kennedy...
