The council and its company LRT has agreed that LLAOL can keep an additional £45m over the next three years that could have paid for council services plus get an extra free year on the concession, as reported a few months back. The council has been rolled over by the owners of LLAOL who have a net worth of over a £1bn. Yes that is billion.
LRT accounts will be published this month. Now that will make for an interesting read as it covers a full year of covid. The 2019-20 accounts covered one month of covid where they made massive loses due to out of control borrowings and spending. To date that spending hasn’t added a single passenger.
