Manpower forecasts have changed. They still have a lot of international crew on reserve lines not flying and also they are prioritising JETCONNECT recruitment and ground schools these NZ based crew operate on all Qantas international services along side mainline.

They have lot of Qantas Group internals now on active hold many have been waiting who accepted transfers in 2020 which were placed on hold will get priority for initial training schedules.

If you have not done the medical component yet that is good as they will make candidates re do the medical if it expires as well as re do security checks after an allotted time has elapsed. Active hold usually last for 12 months from time of application.

Hang in there this industry changes on a daily basis it’s very fluid at the moment
Thanks so much for that information QF747438. Provides some clarity on the email we received
Fingers crossed some of us here from recruitment in around August then (given they said they will give us 8-10 weeks notice)
