I believe the Russians have had to search for alternatives to Ukraine parts since 2014, as Ukraine withdrew supply and support for the stuff it supplied to Russia back then. Russia had never developed or built any marine gas-turbines, and its frigate fleet used Ukraine GT's (made in Mikolaiv) which Ukraine stopped support and spares for in 2014, and Russian engine maker Saturn was tasked with developing its first ever marine GT to replace the Ukrainian engines in its two frigate classes.
