The company wished to use the Aussie crew for BNE-LAX. However the FAAA made it perfectly clear that they do not accept the crew rest on the 330 for that sector length. Which is why the Jetconnect crew are being used.
I saw the 330 in LAX a few days ago. I was surprised, I didn't realize they could go that far.
