Alaskan DHC-8 operator, Ravn, has gone the E3 route. It's not 100% clear to me if they require an FAA ATP. The wording is a bit fuzzy in that regard:
"Non-Type Rated Pilots will be sponsored to complete a type rating (no bond). "
"
Must meet the applicable Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
minimums as specified in 14 CFR Part 61
for either
an ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP)."
