Just a thought about Pumas filling the gap between Griffins and NMH. How suitable is the HC.2 for overwater SAR, inasmuch as they do not have winches or flotation gear and how current are the crews in that type of ops?
They do have a winch, otherwise they wouldn't have been sent to Cyprus or Brunei, where winching is bread and butter.
