I have a simple 20-hour mcc which costed me 2500 euros and I got an invitation so I don't think it worths it. You can pay for 2-4 hours in a 737 sim and get yourself very well prepared for the assessment. The problem with Ryanair is that they are a little bit racists against late 30s guys..
I’ve heard about guy who was 41 and was sucessfull but it might be exception…
