It’s a good advice to graduate generic mcc, do your best and try to apply to AFA self sponsored type rating course as Ryanair offers right now. If you will not be called for an assessment, you can try other company, and save some money on mcc. I think 39 shouldn’t be an issue. I’n sure you can get the job, if not in Ryanair, maybe somewhere else. Don’t give up bro and keep trying. All the best for you
I don't think it worths paying almost 10k just to avoid the online assessment. You still have to pass the real assessment in Dublin which is not easy and nobody guarantees that you will pass it just by having completed an aps mcc. Also, even to get accepted to the Ryanair aps mcc you have to take an online test! So instead of taking this test it's better to apply directly to Ryanair.
I have a simple 20-hour mcc which costed me 2500 euros and I got an invitation so I don't think it worths it. You can pay for 2-4 hours in a 737 sim and get yourself very well prepared for the assessment. The problem with Ryanair is that they are a little bit racists against late 30s guys..
