I didn't spend much time with the "brown" FMC but my understanding of the description is that "NOW" only appears at 2R, 3R, or 4R, if 1R was pressed and shows "ARMED". However, the example display shows "NOW" at 4R but 1R displays "ARM" not "ARMED".

The display does not seem to be consistent with the text but I don't think you can "update now" without having "armed" update with 1R.

I'm sure someone with more recent experience with this system will correct me if I'm wrong.
